Christmas is a busy travelling season, so make sure to reserve enough time for your visit at the airport. According to the estimations, this year there are a lot of travellers at the Helsinki Airport especially between 17th and 27th of December.

Spot Santa and shop for final Christmas presents at Helsinki Airport
Park your car closest to your departure gate by reserving your parking online well in advance.
Keep your eyes open for Santa at the airport! Santa is present at the terminal 2 from 13 to 23 December between 1 and 6 p. m.
The most desired Christmas presents can be found at the shops at Helsinki Airport. During Christmas time, there are some changes in the opening times of the shops and restaurants. At the arrivals hall, for example, grocery store Alepa is open 24/7, Moomin Shop between 9 a. m. and 7 p. m. and restaurant Subway between 11 a. m. and 7 p. m. Helsinki Duty Free shop at terminal 2 is open at Christmas Eve 24 December from 4:45 a. m. to 6 p. m. and on Christmas Day 25 December from 4:45 a. m. to 8 p. m. Changes in the opening times of various services will be updated to our website.
Update on 22. December: The restaurants and cafés at the airports are following the COVID-19 passport restrictions by the Finnish Government starting from Friday 24 December: alcoholic beverages will not be served after 21.00 and closing time will be at 22.00.
