Among the new stores are the Finnish brands Balmuir and Marimekko.
– The brands represented at Helsinki Airport act as business cards for Finland and Finnish design, even for the Finnish lifestyle. We believe that the passengers will be delighted by our improved selection, says Nora Immonen, Finavia's Director of Commercial Services at Helsinki Airport.
In addition to Balmuir and Marimekko, a WHSmith kiosk and FOREX currency exchange service were opened in the gate area at the turn of May and June. The fashion stores AERA Woman and AERA Man, on the other hand, will open at gates 27 and 28 during June.
In addition, the nearly 1,500 square metre duty-free shop is eagerly awaited.
– The successful partnership between Finavia and Dufry will continue and we will be able to open Europe's finest duty-free shop at Helsinki Airport in October, Immonen says.

Investments in versatile restaurant concepts
– In the future, we will develop the food and drink side of Helsinki Airport, and there will be significant investments in the new restaurant world, which will be completed in the gate area next year, Immonen says.
Finavia recently opened a restaurant world with six new restaurants in the Arrivals Hall of Helsinki Airport, which are available to all visitors of the airport. A new café concept, Kaffet Helsinki, is about to open at the new gate area.
– Our air passengers appreciate the versatile, high-quality and fast restaurant offering. Our goal is to offer easy take-away products, but also opportunities to take a moment together around excellent food and beverages, Immonen says.
