Wolt will start food deliveries from Helsinki Airport. In the Wolt app, you can order from restaurants with home delivery or pick up your order yourself.
For example, arriving passengers can use the Wolt app to order food from the restaurant to the airport’s arrivals hall.
The Helsinki Airport restaurants joining the Wolt app first are Pretty Boy Wingery, Bär Bar, Richie’s Gourmet Hot Dogs, Levant, Burger King and Subway. All the restaurants are located in the arrivals hall of the airport.
According to Joel Järvinen, Wolt’s General Manager for Finland, the goal is to make travel easier for passengers and to better serve the thousands of people working at or visiting areas near the airport on a daily basis.
“When the plane lands, passengers are often hungry and impatient to get home or to the airport hotel. It’s now possible to order a meal to a restaurant in the arrivals hall to wait for pickup or order it directly to the airport hotel.”
It is also possible to order meals from the airport’s restaurants to households and offices in the nearby areas.
