Pobeda Airlines' route opening to Moscow celebrated at Helsinki Airport on Friday 5th of October

Pobeda Airlines begun its daily operation between Helsinki and Moscow this morning. The introduction of a new route was celebrated at Helsinki Airport.

Helsinki Airport offers an extensive network with its 145 routes around the world. The airport is undergoing the biggest development programme in its history as it’s preparing to serve 30 million passengers a year, the investment being a billion euros.

- We are delighted to open our first daily connection to Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow. Pobeda offers Finnish passengers over 20 destinations in Russia and connections to Mediterranean, says Petri Vuori, vice president of sales and route development at Finavia.

Pobeda Airlines is based in Vnukovo International Airport and is Aeroflot’s subsidiary. The route is operated with modern Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

- We are very pleased start operation to Finland and now we have connected beautiful city Helsinki with Vnukovo Airport in Moscow! I am sure that the new Moscow-Helsinki-Moscow flights will enjoy high demand, says Andrey Kalmykovat, General Director at Pobeda Airlines.

Pobeda Airlines' flight from Moscow towards Helsinki took off 8:40 local time. The return service left Helsinki at 11:20 Finnish time and arrives at Moscow 13:15.
