In December 2024, at Rovaniemi Airport, the busiest travel days will be the Saturdays and Sundays of 14–15 December, 21–22 December and 28–29 December. At Kittilä Airport, passenger numbers will be the largest on Saturday, 15 December, Saturday and Sunday, 21–22 December, Thursday, 26 December, and Saturday and Sunday, 28–29 December.
In January 2025, at Rovaniemi Airport, the busiest days are 4-5 January, 11-12 January, 18-19 January, and 25-26 January. In general, weekends will be the busiest travel times at all Lapland airports until the end of March, with a large number of international scheduled and charter flights arriving at the airports.
Tips for coming to the airport
• Follow the instructions provided by your airline or tour operator on when to come to the airport. Your airline or tour operator will let you know when check-in will open.

Tips for packing your bags
• Check Finavia's search engine to see what you can take with you on your flight. Check your airline's instructions for travelling with skis and snowboards, as they are special baggage.
• Pack any Christmas food and other food items in checked baggage.
• Do not pack fireworks, sparklers or flammable products such as flammable ski waxes for your trip. It is prohibited to carry these items on an aircraft.
