Norwegian continues to invest in route network development in Finland. It will begin operating direct flights to Agadir, an attractive location for passengers with its pleasant climate, numerous restaurants and affordable shopping opportunities.
“Norwegian is the second-largest airline operating at Helsinki Airport. We are very excited about the increased capacity and, of course, the new route to Agadir, which we hope will bring people to Finland for the first time,” says Petri Vuori, Vice President of Sales and Route Development at Finavia.
In addition to the new route to Agadir, Norwegian increases the number of flights to Málaga, Marrakesh, London and Kraków in the coming winter season. The most significant increase concerns the route to Málaga with sixteen flights a week compared to the previous nine. In its news release, the company says that it is increasing its capacity in Finland significantly.
“We have noticed that passengers in Finland are interested in our flexible and affordable tickets. Our passengers will have an even more extensive range of available options with these increases. We welcome our passengers to fly with us on our new and fuel-efficient aircraft,” says Thomas Ramdahl, Commercial Manager of Norwegian.
Norwegian says that it is constantly commissioning new aircraft and the average age of its fleet is 3.6 years. The fleet includes more than 150 aircraft and, in 2018, it will be increased by 25 brand new planes.
